Replacing a failing roof on a terrace safely, with the scaffold and the debris handled cleanly so the street stays usable while the work goes on.
A roof either does its one job or it does not, and once it starts to fail, patching rarely buys much time. This terraced home had a full strip and re-roof: the old covering off, new membrane and battens on, and a fresh slate covering laid to see out the next few decades.
On a terrace the safety and the tidiness matter as much as the roof itself. Scaffold goes up properly, the debris comes down a chute rather than off the edge, and the work is programmed so the household and the neighbours know what is happening and when.
